SCITR (Software Controlled IED Training Range) is an advanced IoT-based training ecosystem designed to deliver end-to-end, hands-on training for bomb detection, neutralisation, and counter-IED operations. It enables security and defence personnel to train in realistic, high-stress environments, preparing them to effectively respond to modern-day threats and terrorist scenarios.
The Software Controlled IED Training Range (SCITR) is an indigenous and cost-effective training solution, developed in-house to ensure affordability, adaptability, and ease of maintenance.
Leveraging advanced IoT and GPS technologies, it enables real-time tracking of IEDs and participant movements, offering precise analysis and control.
The system supports multi-role scenario training involving security forces, adversaries, and civilians, delivering high situational realism. With a gamified learning environment, SCITR enhances engagement and skill retention, while its real-time data analytics allow commanders to continuously monitor, evaluate, and optimise performance.
A centralised control interface provides comprehensive supervision and dynamic exercise management, complemented by full recording and playback features for after-action reviews.
The platform integrates immersive pyrotechnic and sound effects, live video feeds, and customizable scenario environments to replicate real combat situations.
Scalable for field deployment, it supports up to 30 units, including personnel and IED simulators, and offers command-level insights to assess combat effectiveness, identify weaknesses, and drive continuous improvement in training outcomes.
