ROV - Remotely Operated Vehicle
The Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) is a modular, multi-mission robotic platform developed by Navyug Defence for bomb disposal, reconnaissance, and hazardous mission applications.
Designed to handle and neutralise improvised and explosive devices (IEDs) up to 15 kg, it features a versatile, reconfigurable chassis that can be quickly adapted for a variety of mission profiles, including search, surveillance, and EOD (Explosive Ordinance Disposal) operations.
The ROV is indigenously developed, making it cost-effective, rugged, and optimised for Indian operational environments.
Its compact design allows easy transport, even in standard vehicles, ensuring rapid deployment in urban or remote scenarios. Equipped with a simple, gaming-style controller, the system is intuitive to operate, enabling users to control it with minimal training, making it ideal for infantry units, combat engineers, and mobile EOD technicians.
The ROV offers state-of-the-art functionality with a wide range of mission-specific attachments, including a metal detector, non-linear junction detector, water-gun disruptor, tyre deflator, cutter, grapnel hook, and more.
A single communication port supports all accessories, allowing multiple attachments to function simultaneously.
Operators experience realistic and precise control over the ROV’s arm, wrist, claw, camera, and movement, replicating human dexterity in high-risk environments.
Combining mobility, flexibility, and advanced control, the ROV ensures that personnel can safely and efficiently perform life-threatening tasks while maintaining complete situational awareness and operational superiority.
